I don’t have any lofty goals for 2020. I suppose that is a silly way to start a blog post reflecting on the new year ahead, but if 2019 taught me anything, it’s that you can only plan so much. Instead I’m going to try to just enjoy all the little things that really make my life feel so blessed. Like my first sips of coffee in the mornings while watching our little toddler tornado run through our house. Or seeing Henry learn something new literally every day. Or sneaking a date with Andrew. Or a big hug from Otto or snuggle from Clemmie. We might not be jet setting a bunch this year, but we’ve got a lot of adventure happening in our own little neck of the woods.

And it’s around this time when I’ve just about crossed off all the things on my list (ok, nowhere near, but perhaps I’ve just surrendered at this point), and I try to take some time to soak up the hustle and bustle a bit without being part of it per se. I think I secretly enjoy the hustle of finding gifts as Christmas approaches. It’s part of the fun for me. And honestly, Serena & Lily is making it too easy this year. Everything sitting pretty on their shelves will make you look like the most stylish Santa around.
Read MoreI don’t do a ton of beauty reviews on here because, honestly, I’m pretty clueless when it comes to how to do a perfect smoky eye or updo. I’m more of a throw some mascara (and under eye concealer these days) and go kind of a girl. But around the time we were trying to get pregnant, I am became hyper aware of exactly what I was using on my face. The more I researched, the more it became beyond clear to me that I needed to make a change in the products I consumed on a daily basis.
