Ok, first let me just say that I know letterpress can read as a bit much for a birth announcement. But ya’ll, I waited a long time for this moment, and I wanted to shout it from the rooftops in true Abby Capalbo style. Which totally calls for letterpress. Plus I love that it’s a keepsake, something we can display or frame, or something I can hold in my hand and cry over when he goes to college. All very important. I knew I wanted to work with my good friend Emily at Papermoss (she also did our wedding invites which were stunning!) - so the minute we announced we were expecting, Emily started working away.

The Almost Healthy Winter Elixir Cocktail with Republic of Vermont Raw Honey

We have this amazing little cafe in our area called The Beehive. It’s pretty adorable and the food is on point. They make this amazing tea concoction they call the Winter Elixir., and I get throughout the winter whenever I’m feeling like my immune system could use a boost. Being that it’s March in New England, I think everyone’s body could use a good dose of this right about now. I actually called them up so I could make it at home from time to time, and it’s surprisingly pretty simple! A little homemade ginger mint tea, some delicious Raw Honey from The Republic of Vermont and fresh lemon juice, and this drink will do your body good. We also don’t judge if you want to add a little shot of bourbon - we hear it will warm you right up!

Newborn - 4 Month Old: Baby Gear You Actually Use

Now that Henry is past the 4 month mark (and I am somewhat out of the newborn fog) I find myself looking back at the first time parents we were just months ago and wanting to give them a hug. And a high five. And maybe a bottle of champagne. Those first few months are no joke. It’s a crazy, wonderful, emotional time. When I do take a moment to think about those tender first months, I’m so proud of us. All of us. Andrew, Myself, Henry, Otto & Clementine. We all hit the ground running, celebrated small victories, and snuggled a lot. We survived, and sometimes we made a meal. We laughed a lot and cried a lot. But mostly we just thanked God for this beautiful little boy.

Introducing Henry Arthur + Nursery Tour

On October 24th, during a full moon, Henry Arthur Capalbo decided to join our world. At that moment our lives were forever changed. No one could ever prepare me for the rush of emotions that would follow his arrival. It’s impossible to explain, and I won’t even try. I will say love took on a whole new meaning - not only for this new person, but also for my little family. Andrew and I have always felt lucky to do this life thing together, but that night took everything to another level. I remember looking at Andrew and just being so grateful for him my heart could explode. Look at this little life we created.

Fall Backyard Popcorn Tasting

There have been lots of changes in out house since the little one arrived, but I still think it’s oh-so-important to do my best to feel myself as much as I possibly can. And for me, that’s making sure we are doing little things like celebrating this festive fall season. Now, let’s be real, I can barely take a shower, so there is no elaborate menu on hand, but I love implementing easy ideas like a simple popcorn tasting with Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP. Guest list?
