New England Inspired Holiday Table
I really, truly love the holidays. I've been blessed with years of good memories around this time, and I don't take it for granted. Instead I try to embrace every little moment. And the moments i love most are all about the gatherings (not the gifts). I love the crazy conversations that happen around a dinner table. It's free entertainment, and it's all even better when the table those conversations happen around is decked to the nines. So I thought I would share a simple yet statement-worthy table setting I styled up for Nantucket Looms for your holiday decor inspiration. It's a little New England, a lot classic and really easy to whip up. The perfect combination, no?
As I've mentioned a million times before, I really love decorating with foraged materials, and this time of year greens are about all we have here in New England. But I love them. They really up the ante on your typical table. Sprinkle in some elegant lighting to make it feel extra special (these little scallop lights, amazing votives and brass candlesticks let off the perfect glow).
Adding sweet little touches like these gold wishbones (which are acting as place cards in this case) and layering texture via linens always makes a setting more inviting. And this proves yet again, that a simple yet classic white dinnerware set goes a long way (I love the subtle blue rim on these).
The holidays are just around the corner, so I suppose we should all get to decorating!
