Happy Fourth of July!
The Fourth of July has always been one of my very favorite holidays. It's smack dab in the middle of summer (actually more of a kick off to summer here in New England), and it just has an overall happy vibe. Andrew and I actually met this very week 14 years ago, so I suppose I'm extra sentimental about it.
I love that it doesn't require much. Just some patriotic apparel (I like any excuse to wear stripes), a flag or two, great friends and some good food. It all just seems to unfold rather naturally from there.
I hope you are able to take a second or two tomorrow to soak in some of the festivities. We are counting down the minutes until we can get into full Fourth of July mode. So from our house to yours (please note: this is not our house - that would be a legit dream) - Happy Fourth of July!
