A Little Piece of Heaven: Wicked Tulips in Rhode Island

OK, I know it's cinco de mayo, and there are going to be a million salsa and margarita recipes floating around the web today (you should check this one out I styled), but I am going to bring you something equally buzz-worthy - tulips. And I'm bringing them by way of Erin McGinn's take-your-jaw-off-the-floor images. Really, they are so dreamy they make me want to kiss each pretty petal in the pictures. This magical little farm, Wicked Tulips, opened last year in little Rhode Island, and it's just yet another reason why I adore living in this sweet state. You really have to experience it to believe it.

The owners, Keriann and Jeroen, are at the helm of the operation, and you can just feel their heart in soul in every corner of the farm. Jeroen, from Holland originally, finally got his dream of opening his own tulip farm in Keriann's native New England, and it just feels special to witness such a gorgeous dream coming true. I love supporting big dreamers in our little state.

The farm is only open for tulip picking during the peak season (see all the details here), but if you can sneak out this weekend or next week, I highly recommend it. It's like a little therapy session getting lost in all those blooms, and picking the tulips from the ground is one of the more satisfying feelings in life - I know it sounds crazy, but trust me.
