Growing up, my mom was always into hats. She wore them to church every Sunday, and you better believe she sported the wide brim variety when we all hit the beach. So I guess my love of the head covers comes pretty naturally. Peter Beaton has always been our place of choice. Their hats are truly one of a kind, and even though I'm not much of a collector, I could easily collect a bunch of these beauties. So shooting some product for them was a dream gig. They have now expanded their line to shoes, cover ups and sunglasses - making it a one stop shop.
Read MoreNantucket Looms has always been that store on Main Street I fantasized about when I was younger. Everything in the store just looked so perfect and soft and lovely. So when they asked me to come out to shoot for them, I was over the moon. Mainly because I knew shooting their product would be so much fun because it's all so darn gorgeous, but the opportunity also made me wish I could go back in time and tell the girl with the ice cream on her hands that one day all of this would happen.
Read MoreI love a summer dress. They are without question my favorite things to purchase, and to me, the most comfortable thing to wear when bopping around during the summer months. It never fails, the second the temps start to rise in the spring, I start the search for this years' warm weather wardrobe staples. Shopping carts across the internet are currently filled to the brim with my finds (and tend to sit there for some time), so I thought I would share some beauties I currently have my eye at the moment.
Read MoreSummer in New England is magic. I think we have all established that fact. There is just nothing quite like it. The air is sweet and the blooms are plentiful, and you just seem to wash away all memories of those rainy (cold) spring months (March & April, I'm talk to you). Another thing I love about summer in this little region of ours is there are SO many places to soak up those sweet, fleeting months - and for me, Nantucket has always been high on that list.
Read MoreWe kind of feel embarrassed saying it, but until the past weekend, we never really spent much time on the Vineyard. It's criminal really because it's so darn close, but I've only been a couple times and Andrew had never been until this trip (and he grew up in Rhode Island!). We were thrilled to change that when The Christopher, a stunning Edgartown hotel, invited us to stay for the weekend so we could see what all the fuss was about. It only took stepping off the ferry to understand why people (and Presidents) have claimed this as their happy place for years - Martha's Vineyard has charm down.
Read MoreLisbon really surprised me. Everything I read made me feel like Porto was the true star of the Portugal cities, and that the Algarve would be the winner of my heart. And while both of them swept me right off my feet, Lisbon sparkled in its own right. The architecture really stood out to me, and since to much of the city was rebuilt after the earthquake of 1755 it really gives the city it's own personality. So many of the buildings felt like art to me. I'm pretty sure Andrew would say I could spend weeks just walking around snapping picks of the all facades (he's right).
