You hear people wax poetic about New England summers and autumns, but her springs? They can be tough. It can be day after day of cold, rainy, raw weather, so the minute the sun comes out and things start to bloom, people start to come out of the woodworks. And how can you blame them?

This spring has been particularly gloomy, but boy has it made me appreciate the sunshine when we have it. Not to mention the big beautiful blooms it brought us. Providence is all a glow with color right now, making its charming streets even more lovely.

I always seem to forget about how darling our little capital city is, and how lucky we are to live just a stones throw away from such a mecca for food and art (and adorable colonial homes). Just a reminder to myself to plan these strolls more often…
