A Holiday Weekend in Old Quebec City
Last year, around this time, Andrew and I were so swamped with work and obligations we felt like complete scrooges. We typically love this time of year, so it was really out of character. So we decided to do something about it, and we booked a winter wonderland getaway to a place where you can't help but get into the holiday spirit - Old Quebec City.
I literally fell in love the minute we pulled onto the cobblestone streets. This place is like a fairytale, and the people are so warm and inviting. We had nothing planned but getting lost, enjoying all the holiday cheer in the Christmas markets (and drinking a few glasses of glühwein while we are at it) and devouring all the delicious local cuisine. Well, we definitely met all of our goals (go us!). Even though we swore to go back every year, and we can't really make that happen this year (or at least this December) - it's safe to say we fell head over heels for this quaint little city. We'd go back in a heartbeat.
I've had a few folks ask me for recommendations for their upcoming trips (other than my recommendation to buy me a ticket so I can come along), so I pulled together some of our favorite finds in this darling little corner of the world.
